Article Marketing

In this Training Module, you are going to learn how to create articles that will drive traffic to a website.

Here is what you should do.

  1. Listen to the article marketing intro mp3.
  2. Listen to the mp3 by Matt Lewis and John Jonas on the Article Marketing Process.
  3. Listen to the mp3 with John Jonas and Joel Swanson. It has some great info on doing article marketing correctly.
  4. Look at the list of article submission sites that you will submit manually to.
  5. Read the ebook article domination method

Here are notes from the book:

  1. Ignore the part about keyword elite and about Niche Bot.
  2. On pages 32, 33 he describes a method to "swipe" articles from other places. Please only use this method every once in a while and if you do, you need to change the text you swiped. We don't want to get in trouble for copying other people's content. We want our own articles.
  3. You can also ignore the stuff about "Instant Article Wizard" unless I tell you otherwise.
  4. I like the examples of the resource boxes he gives, but I don't like how he did his links. Please do the resource boxes like you've seen me describe elsewhere.
  5. Ignore pages 43-50.
  6. Ignore pages 61-67.
  7. As you read this book, remember that you don't HAVE to do the things he says. I'm giving you this book just to educate you on what you can do. You should pick out the things that you think will help our article marketing be most effective. Some of the things he says won't apply to our business. Keep that in mind as you read.

6. Read pages 12-19 of the ebook Chalking Cash From Articles. The rest of the book is mostly garbage.
7. Read pages 14-17 of the ebook The Expert Guide to Article Marketing, starting with the section titled "Red Hot Tips To Get Your Articles Read". The rest of the book is a waste of your time.
8. Here's a tool you can use to create resource boxes for your articles: http://www.jonasblog.com/article-resource-box-creator. It makes it super simple to get the resource boxes correct. I highly recommend you use it.

I want you to submit at least one article each week using the method described in the audio with Matt Lewis and John Jonas. I may tell you to do more or less at some point, but start out with 1 per week.

Also, if we do decide to have others write our articles for us, here are two text files that we can use as templates for getting the articles done.

  1. Original Article Request Template
  2. Rewrite Article Request Template
